Boy George Sent For Trial
Boy George has been sent for trial accused of falsely imprisoning a 28-year-old male escort at his home.
The offense allegedly took place at the former Culture Club leader’s home in Hackney, east London, April 28.
Although reports in tabloids including the Daily Mirror made it look to be another hilarious episode in George’s life, London police mounted a serious investigation into complaints they received from a man who claims he had to flee the singer’s flat in his underpants.
After escaping to the local newsagent’s shop in a state of semi-nudity, Norwegian model Auden Carlsen told Hackney CID that George had kidnapped him and used him as a bondage slave.
George, whose real name is George O’Dowd, allegedly chained Carlsen to a wall.
He appeared before Thames Magistrates Court November 22 and was released on bail until he appears at Snaresbrook Crown Court February 25th.
