Aspen Live Announced

It’s time to pack the skis again, with the 12th annual Aspen Live Conference set for December 13-15 in Colorado.

This year’s event takes place at the St. Regis Resort and is limited to 200 registrants. There will be plenty of panels and focus groups, but the conference is also known for finding any excuse to hold "meetings" on the slopes.

It is also known for inviting speakers from outside the concert industry, and this year’s guests include Ian Rogers, general manager for Yahoo! Music, and Tim Brosnan, an executive VP for Major League Baseball. Why Brosnan? Because the concert biz isn’t the only industry that concerns itself with getting butts in seats.

Aspen Live usually attracts its share of artist managers, agents, record execs, promoters and entertainment attorneys, but this year’s event is the first to be open to non-music-related companies.

Registration is available at Aspenlive.net. Conference organizer Jim Lewi works at CAA.
