Music & Media Bigger Than Ever

Finland’s Music & Media conference and Lost In Music Festival celebrated their best ever attendance as 850 delegates and 70 local acts showed up for the annual bash at Tampere.

"The music and media fields are getting closer every day, so conferences like this not only attract the music people but also from the games and media industry," said music Export Finland director Ville Kilpeläinen as the 18-year-old event’s delegate numbers suddenly shot up by 200.

"I believe it’s also partly due to the increased international participation. There were approximately 100 international delegates this year. And when there are more international business people, that attracts more local professionals," he added.

The celebrity guest at this year’s October 18-20 bash at the city’s Sokos Ilves Hotel was Seymour Stein.
