Wainwright is currently wrapping up a European run accompanied by his full band in support of his latest album, Release the Stars.

The next opportunity to catch the singer is December 2 at Cirkus Djurgarden in Stockholm, Sweden. Remaining stops include December 3 at Oslo Konserthuset in Norway, December 5 at Musikhuset in Aarhus, Denmark, and December 7 at Theatre Sebastopol in Lille, France.

Wainwright will make a guest appearance December 19 at Teddy Thompson & Friends Christmas show at the HighLine Ballroom in New York City. Artists scheduled to take part include Martha Wainwright, Kamila Thomspon, Jenni Muldaur, Sonya Kitchell, Neal Casal, Tift Merritt and others. Proceeds from the evening benefit The Save Darfur Coalition.

The singer will launch a series of solo U.S. dates, with support from his sister Lucy Wainwright Roche, beginning December 20 at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pa.Other highlights include stops at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (December 21-22), House of Blues in Atlantic City, N.J. (December 29), Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh (January 3) and Belly Up Aspen in Colorado (January 10).

Wainwright will take a break from his U.S. trek December 31 to join Belinda Carlisle at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles for Deck The Hall: Paris A Go-Go – New Year’s Eve In Paris. Both performers will sing songs in French and English accompanied by a Parisian band.

Following his Stateside dates, the singer will head to the Far East and Downunder for a two week run that kicks off January 20 at Diamond Hall in Osaka, Japan and wraps up February 9 at Perth Concert Hall in Australia.

On December 4, Wainwright will release a pair of recordings that showcase two of his critically acclaimed, sold-out Judy Garland tribute performances: a live two-CD set, Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall and a live DVD, Rufus! Rufus! Rufus! Does Judy! Judy! Judy! at the London Palladium.
