Live Nation Vets Go AEG

AEG Live has tapped industry vets Sam Kinken and Jon Hampton to book talent out of AEG’s New York office.

While both have been named senior talent buyers for AEG in New York, Kinken will focus mainly on the New York tri-state area, Connecticut and Massachusetts and Hampton will be responsible for Philadelphia and its surrounding markets.

Kinken has worked for Live Nation in New York City throughout its incarnations, beginning with Delsener/Slater through SFX. He was most recently responsible for public concerts at Town Hall, Central Park Summerstage and the McCarren Park Pool.

Hampton previously worked for Live Nation in Philadelphia, and also headed up Max Cruise Entertainment in New Jersey, a promotions company that ran the Bamboozle Festival.

"AEG Live’s New York office has grown in leaps and bounds since we opened in 2003," said senior VP Debra Rathwell. "The workload has quadrupled. Both Sam and Jon will be great additions to our New York operations."

Kinken will report to Rathwell and Hampton will report to Rathwell and Mark Shulman, AEG’s VP of talent northeast.
