Fill Your Head With Rock
Up to 10,000 people can collect a free CD if they buy tickets for next year’s Sweden Rock Festival before the end of December.
The 25,000-capacity event, which is traditionally one of the first European summer outdoors to announce acts, will give a copy of Fill Your Head With Rock to those who snap up a four-day ticket for 1990 Swedish krona (US$310).
It includes entrance to the three-day festival and the warm-up day.
The full price for the three-day ticket won’t be announced until 2008, when event organiser Ingolf Persson will be in a better position to gauge the cost of the entertainment.
The June 5-7 gathering, which has the warm-up day on the 4th, has already confirmed Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Blue Oyster Cult, Saxon, Ministry and Coheed And Cambria, plus some of the best of the Nordic region’s rock acts.
The cheaper December tickets can only be bought on the festival’s www.swedenrock.com Web site, using either VISA or MasterCard.
The regular three-day tickets, which are also expected to sell at about SEK 1990, don’t include the warm-up day. That needs to be bought separately for SEK 390. They’ll go on sale January 1.
The Fill Your Head With Rock album is full of tracks with that title and performed by previous years’ Sweden Rock acts including Sabaton, Bonafide and Ken Hensley.
