LN Fined For Child Labor Violation
Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley fined Live Nation and concession operator Sport Service for child labor law violations at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield.
Coakley said an anonymous tip prompted the three-month investigation earlier this year, according to the Boston Globe.
The companies are accused of employing minors past 10 p.m. on school nights in May and June, working minors more than nine hours a day and employing minors without work permits.
Live Nation paid $4,000 and Sport Service paid $12,000 for the violations, the paper said. Sources told Pollstar the infractions all boiled down to some glitches in record keeping.
