WFCU Centre Costs Make Cents

While construction costs often balloon out of control, officials in Windsor, Ontario, were recently treated to some refreshing news regarding an arena development in the city that is expected to come in nearly $1 million under budget.

The WFCU Centre, which will house the city’s Spitfires hockey team, was projected to total $64.9 million. However, low interest rates and a strong Canadian dollar have helped keep the development’s cost down, the Windsor Star reported.

The arena is reportedly expected to be completed by the end of 2008.
