Calvert’s Death Accidental
The Washington, D.C., Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled that Hawthorne Heights guitarist Casey Calvert died of an accidental overdose November 24th.
The autopsy report shows the guitarist had a combination of opiates, anti-anxiety medication and an antidepressant in his system.
His wife, Ashley, said her husband had prescriptions for medication for depression and panic attacks and a painkiller for a recent root canal, and that the overdose was a "horrible accident."
Calvert was found dead in Hawthorne Heights’ tour bus just prior to a gig at the 9:30 Club. The band had performed in Detroit the night before.
