The last chance to catch Poltz in the States before he heads Downunder for a two-week run is December 22 at Cheers in Ramona, Calif., with special guest Tim Flannery.

The singer’s Australian jaunt kicks off December 28 at Brass Monkey in Cronulla, New South Wales.Other cities on the itinerary include Glenworth Valley, Blampied, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney.

The U.S. trek gets up and rolling again on the album’s street date of January 22 at Joe’s Pub in New York City and drops in on clubs across the country through mid-March.

Highlights include stops at The Mint in Los Angeles (January 25), 12 Galaxies in San Francisco (January 27), Sam Bond’s Garage in Eugene, Ore. (January 31), McGonigel’s Mucky Duck in Houston (February 12), The Blue Door in Oklahoma City (February 17), Schubas Tavern in Chicago (February 22), Beachland Ballroom Tavern in Cleveland (February 26) and Ashland Coffee and Tea in Virginia (March 7).

Support for the tour comes courtesy of a rotating list of artists, including Tim Bluhm, Truckee Brothers, Fred Van Vactor and Blue Mountain.

Poltz is also scheduled to play a showcase and make several “unofficial” appearances at the South By Southwest Music and Media Conference in Austin March 12-16. Venues will be announced in the coming weeks.
