There is so much Americana music history in the husband and wife team known as Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion that we could spend all day talking about their influences and only scratch the surface. Suffice to say, Sarah is a Guthrie, daughter of Arlo, granddaughter of Woody, and Johnny’s family tree includes his uncle, author Thomas Steinbeck, son of John Steinbeck. Together, Sarah and Johnny have been blazing their own path, mixing folk, rock, blues and whatever strikes their collective fancy. New dates include San Jose, CA, Charlottesville, VA, in February, and in April it’s Fall River, MA and New York towns Albany, Port Washington and Pawling.

New March dates for Sherwood include Denver, Seattle, Omaha, Portland and the Chicago-area community of Tinley Park; Newsboys add Evansville, IN, for March; Spyro Gyra hit Minneapolis in March and Red Bank, NJ, in November and They Might Be Giants add Birmingham, AL, for March.

New February / March dates for The Waybacks include Boise, Spokane and Nashville; Melissa Ferrick plays Decatur, GA, in February and George Winston slots Solomons, MD, for February, Napa, CA, for July and Arlington Heights, IL, for next December.

During the past couple of hours we also updated the schedules for Hot Buttered Rum, Headnodic, Five Times August, Egypt Central, Fatlip, Ego Likeness, Crash Anthem, 20 Minutes To Park and Al Stewart.

We’re posting dates faster than bands can book ’em! Be sure to catch your final update of the day – The Closing Bell – coming up around 5 PM (PST) from Pollstar.com!
