Red Shore Fatalities
The singer and a road crew member of Australian metal band The Red Shore died after their minibus left the road and slammed into a tree near Coffs Harbour, in New South Wales December 19.
Frontman Damian Morris, 27, died on impact. The band’s driver and merchandiser, identified only as Andy, died in hospital after being trapped in the wreckage for more than an hour. The other members escaped with head injuries and fractures.
The Red Shore was touring with American death metal band All Shall Perish as part of the "Christmas Carnage" tour for promoter Destroy All Lines.
They were travelling between Brisbane and Sydney when the accident occurred. The tour continued without The Red Shore.
A further unfortunate result of the accident was that The Daily Telegraph printed that Brisbane hip-hop band Butterfingers had been the one involved. The group had to hastily inform their families otherwise.
