Carrie Underwood has announced the first dates for a debut headlining run with special guest Josh Turner that is expected to eventually include more than 30 shows.
Underwood’s Carnival Ride Tour kicks off February 18 at Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., in the midst of the singer’s co-headlining dates with Keith Urban.
Other stops announced so far include Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. (February 19), Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. (February 22), and the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Conn. (February 25).
Tickets for the initial run of shows go on sale January 12.
Underwood’s sophomore album, Carnival Ride, debuted at No. 1, moving more than 500,000 units and earning the “American Idol” champ the best-selling chart debut by a female artist in 2007.
