Toto On Hiatus

On the home page of Japanese concert promoter Udo Artists, guitarist Steve Lukather has announced that Toto, playing a series of joint concerts with Boz Scaggs in Japan this March, will go on indefinite hiatus following the tour.

Lukather says that because Toto and Scaggs’ respective careers started at about the same time, the joint show is a perfect note to end on.

The Scaggs and Toto performance will be the inaugural event for the new 3,000-seat JCB Hall, which is adjacent to Tokyo Dome. Both JCB shows are sold out, as well as other area shows at the Tokyo International Forum and Yokohama Pacifico. A second Forum show has been added. The tour will also play two shows in Osaka and one in Nagoya.

Udo will be presenting another joint concert tour of classic American rock acts. Chicago and Huey Lewis & the News will play together in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Yokohama and Hiroshima in mid-April. Tickets go on sale February 16.
