Vickers To Lead LN To New Pastures
Live Nation is beefing up its search for new buildings to own and operate by appointing David Vickers to the new post of senior vice president for international venue development.
LN international chief exec Alan Ridgeway described the move as "an important step in Live Nation’s venue expansion plans in both new and existing territories."
Vickers has been the U.K. divisional manager responsible for all of Live Nation’s U.K. music venues, including Cardiff International Arena, Sheffield Arena, Hammersmith Apollo and Manchester Apollo. He oversaw the sale of Donington Park and Live Nation’s appointment as manager of Wembley Arena.
Most recently, he was instrumental in LN’s expansion into China, concluding a deal with Cosmedia Group to manage its new multi-purpose outdoor Pop TV Arena in Hong Kong.
