Let’s start off with the Alex Skolnick Trio. Alex Skolnick has to have one of the more unusual musical backgrounds you’ll find anywhere. Known for being a jazz and rock guitarist, Skolnick once played in Testament, so the guy knows how to shake up a room. These days its rock, bebop, jazz and whatever strikes Skolnick’s interests. New dates for the Trio include March 6 in Teaneck, New Jersey, March 13 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and March 23 in Albany, New York.

We’ve been seeing a date here and a date there for My Chemical Romance, and now that we have 8 new dates, we thought we should say something about them. New show listings are for March and April. Gigs include a March 30 stop in Vegas, April 8 in Portland, OR, and April 19 in Detroit.

Sara Bareilles updates this afternoon with new April dates. Stops include Milwaukee on April 14, Chicago on 17, Toronto on 20, Boston on 22, NYC on 23 and Atlanta on 30.

And it looks as if the Supersuckers will be sticking close to the ski slopes during the first week of March. On March 1 the band plays Salt Lake City, then it’s off to Colorado ski havens like Aspen, Durango, Breckenridge and Vail.

During the past couple of hours we also updated the schedules for The Hot Club Of Cowtown, Starfield, Shane And Shane, The Whip, Terri Hendrix, Mel McDaniel, Josh Joplin, Garrison Starr, Duffy, Del Castillo, Chicago Afrobeat Project, Candye Kane, Anthony B, Big John Mills, Brian Regan and Ben Folds.

And we still have more data yet to post! Don’t miss your last update of the day – The Closing Bell – coming up around 5 pm (PST), from Pollstar.com!
