Bad Feeling About Huckabee

Former Boston guitarist Barry Goudreau performed the hit "More Than a Feeling" with Republican presidential hopeful Mike Hucakbee at campaign events, causing Boston’s main man, Tom Scholz, to cry foul.

Goudreau played the song at least once with Huckabee’s band, Capitol Offense, which Huckabee formed while governor of Arkansas.

"By using my song, and my band’s name Boston, you have taken something of mine and used it to promote ideas to which I am opposed," Scholz wrote, who said Huckabee "is the polar opposite of most everything Boston stands for."

Scholz – electrical engineer and inventor of the Rockman guitar amp – made it clear: "In other words, I think I’ve been ripped off, dude!"

Fred Bramante, the chairman of Huckabee’s New Hampshire campaign, said the allegations were "ridiculous" and that, after attending dozens of Huckabee rallies, he had only seen the candidate play the song in question when Gourdreau campaigned with him in Iowa in October.
