Good E-Ticket Vibrations

The Sydney show of Good Vibrations, which drew 38,000 fans to Centennial Parklands February 16, was 100 percent e-ticket.

The Australian festival appointed paperless ticketing company Moshtix.

The key to the campaign was the use of a 2D barcode, said Moshtix managing director Hamish Petrie.

After purchasing tickets, attendees were e-mailed the barcode inside a PDF attachment to their confirmation.

The barcode was then scanned at the festival gates by Moshtix staff at the entry lanes.

Jane English, director and festival manager of Good Vibrations, said, "It was the smoothest Sydney entry we have ever had."
