The band kicks things off with a series of six showcase and party performances March 12-15 at the South By Southwest Music And Media Conference in Austin.

Next up is a supporting gig with sibling trio The Cribs beginning March 17 at 40 Watt Club in Athens, Ga., that wraps April 4 at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.

Other stops include Black Cat in Washington, D.C. (March 19), Grog Shop in Cleveland, Ohio (March 23), Double Door in Chicago (March 25) Chop Suey in Seattle (March 31) and Popscene in San Francisco (April 3).

Finally, Ra Ra Riot will hook up with Los Angeles’ The Little Ones for a nationwide co-headlining run that launches April 5 at The Casbah in San Diego and will see the pair on the road through mid-May, with stops including Stubbs Bar-B-Q in Austin (April 11), The Social in Orlando, Fla. (April 14), The Map Room in Charleston, S.C. (April 18), Ottobar in Baltimore (April 22), The Basement in Columbus, Ohio (April 29), Alvin’s in Detroit (May 3), Jackpot Music Hall in Lawrence, Kan. (May 8) and Glass House in Pomona, Calif. (May 16).

Ra Ra Riot released a self-titled, self-produced EP last July and has been building buzz for its live performances since the group came together in 2006.

The band spent the winter holed up in a Seattle studio with producer Ryan Hadlock (The Gossip, Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks) recording an album which is expected to be released sometime this year.
