V Fests Don’t Need Extra Time

This year’s U.K. V Fests sold out in 90 minutes, leading Metropolis Music chief Bob Angus to tell BBC News that the organisers are "chuffed to bits."

The twinned festivals at Chelmsford and Stafford, England, which Metropolis runs in cahoots with Simon Moran’s SJM Concerts and Denis Desmond’s Dublin-based MCD Promotions, have previously sold out in less than half a day but this is the first time it’s been less than two hours.

The V Fests take place August 16-17 and have a lineup that includes Muse, Amy Winehouse, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings Of Leon, Stereophonics, The Prodigy, Scouting For Girls, The Kooks and Duffy.

More acts are to be announced shortly.
