Each of the three shows will cover a different period in Simon’s career.

“Songs from The Capeman,” featuring songs from the singer’s short-lived Broadway musical, will be presented April 1-6 at the BAM’s Harvey Theater with special guests Oscar Hernández and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Claudette Sierra, Obie Bermudez, Ray de la Paz, and Little Anthony & The Imperials.

“Under African Skies,” highlighting Simon’s Grammy-winning albums Graceland and The Rhythm of the Saints, will be presented April 9-13 at the BAM’s Howard Gilman Opera House.

Joining the singer will be South African trumpeter/composer Hugh Masekela, Brazilian singer/songwriter Milton Nascimento, Cameroonian vocalist Kaïssa, David Byrne, Brazilian singer Luciana Souza and Brazilian percussionist Cyro Baptista.

The third and final program “American Tunes,” covering the rest of Simon’s solo career as well as his work with Art Garfunkel, will be presented April 23-27 at the Howard Gilman Opera House with Olu Dara, Grizzly Bear and The Roches and other special guests.
