The trek kicks off April 15 with an in-store performance at Austin’s Waterloo Records, followed by a pair of shows April 15-16 at the city’s Continental Club.

Other stops on the schedule include Floore’s Country Store in Helotes, Texas (April 18), the Granada Theater in Dallas (April 26), Bowery Ballroom in New York City (May 1), Higher Ground in Burlington, Vt. (May 6), Martyr’s in Chicago (May 10-11), Knuckleheads in Kansas City, Mo. (May 15), the Asheville Music Jamboree at Deerfields Amphitheater in Horse Show, N.C. (May 25), and Birchmere in Alexandria, Va. (June 6).

Kids, due April 15 on Lightning Rod Records, is the follow up to McMurtry’s 2005 release, Childish Things.
