Queen Joins Comeback Kings

Queen is planning to release its first studio album in 13 years and has a 14-nation European tour scheduled to start in September.

Paul Rodgers, who joined the band on tour in 2005, will also be singing on the new The Cosmos Rocks album, the first Queen album without Freddie Mercury on vocals.

The last album, Made In Heaven, came out in 1995 and featured material written and recorded by Mercury before his death in 1991.

The U.K. shows are likely to be in Nottingham, Glasgow, London, Cardiff, Birmingham and Liverpool.

The band is also likely to play in Russia, Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, Serbia, the Czech Republic and Austria.

Guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and Rodgers wrote the new album in late 2007 and early this year. It will be released September 1.
