Revamping The Track

Live Nation and Sam Houston Race Park in Texas have struck a deal and will revamp the venue’s existing concert facility, renamed The Showgrounds, in time for its first stand-alone concert May 2nd with Widespread Panic, according to the Houston Business Journal.

The park brought more than 1 million horse racing fans through its gates in 2007, and integrated country music concerts after the evening race card and on weekends last year.

The new promotion agreement will expand on the concept and give LN a new mid-sized venue in Houston.
