Scorpion Sidelines Richard Thompson

Singer/songwriter Richard Thompson has been forced to postpone his April shows after he was stung by a scorpion while on vacation in Mexico, incapacitating his right hand for two to three weeks, according to his Web site.

Affected dates include April 10th at Anderson Hall in Wolfeboro, N.H.; April 12th at Nock Auditorium in Newburyport, Mass.; April 15th at German House in Rochester, N.H.; April 19th at McCarter Theatre in Princeton, N.J.; and April 20th at Latchis Theatre in Brattleboro, Vt.

New dates for postponed shows will be announced in the coming weeks.

Thompson expects to be "back up to speed" in time for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 2nd.
