AEG And Burnett Forge Partnership

AEG and Mark Burnett Productions have joined forces to develop and produce live events at AEG-owned properties based on Burnett’s reality show and game show format.

The multiyear deal would include live entertainment, tours, and other related programming for venues such as arenas, amphitheatres, theatres, casinos and theme parks.

Under the deal, MBP will have first opportunity to produce any non-scripted, reality and game show television programming and AEG will have first look at selected MBP properties designated for live events, according to a statement.

"We have always believed the next logical stage of development for many of our most popular television reality programs would be to live-action events," Burnett said. "AEG is the perfect choice for us to work with to develop live shows and tours for some of our popular shows that the public is looking forward to interacting with in person."

AEG President and CEO Tim Leiweke said the timing is right for the collaboration.

"The unprecedented popularity and exceptional creativity behind the catalog of shows produced by Mark Burnett Productions clearly indicates that Mark and his staff have tremendous insight, not to mention an incredible track record of being able to develop programs that resonate with television audiences all over the globe," Leiweke said.

"Add to this mix an exciting slate of programs now in development and we believe that together we can capitalize on the shows Mark desires to take on tour that will allow the millions of fans to experience them live and in a totally new way."

Burnett is known for producing such TV programs as "Survivor," "The Apprentice" and "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"
