Glens Falls Takes Global Spectrum

The City of Glens Falls, N.Y., has signed a five year agreement with Global Spectrum to operate the 7,514-capacity Glens Falls Civic Center.

Global Spectrum is expected to begin management duties April 14th. The civic center was managed by Olympia Entertainment until 1999 when the American Hockey League’s Red Wings left the building.

City employee Suzanne Bernd managed the arena from 2000 to present, according to the Post Star. City residents and officials have reportedly long complained of the arena’s operating losses and debt. Global Spectrum was one of three facility managers vying for the operations contract.
