Chris Gaffney Dies
Singer/songwriter Chris Gaffney passed away in his sleep April 17 at a hospital in Orange County, Calif.
Gaffney, 58, was suffering from liver cancer and fell at his home the night before being admitted to the hospital.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be finalized, and will be announced soon.
Gaffney spent his teen years gigging in cover and house bands before forming a partnership with keyboardist Wyman Reese, who produced his initial solo efforts.
Gaffney also recorded and toured extensively as a member of Dave Alvin & the Guilty Men.
His most current project was The Hacienda Brothers with the Paladins’ Dave Gonzalez.
