Ezrin And Hein Join Live Nation

In the wake of Live Nation reportedly signing Jay-Z to its latest 360 deal, the company is beefing up its recorded music division with the additions of Bob Ezrin and Bill Hein to Live Nation Recordings.

Ezrin, who produced The Wall for Pink Floyd and co-produced the documentary "Fade to Black" starring Jay-Z, heads up the division. Hein, formerly senior VP and GM of EMI Music’s Caroline Distribution, is coming on board as general manager.

While a Live Nation spokesman declined to confirm when the two started with the company or what their specific duties will be, the additions appear to back up Live Nation Artists’ goal to sign artists to recording as well as touring deals – an area of the vaunted 360 model that some observers initially questioned Live Nation’s ability to service.
