PVA On His Way

After spending nearly 12 years running the press and marketing for events including the Euosonic-Noorderslag weekend and Amsterdam Dance Event, Pieter van Adrichem is moving on to be marketing manager for Holland’s premier theatre company.

He’s joining Toneelgroep Amsterdam June 1, where he will head up a marketing team of five people.

Prior to working for the two events, which are now run by the Buma Cultuur authors’ rights organization, van Adrichem had been a freelance writer for national music magazines including Oor and had a spell as Pollstar’s news correspondent for The Netherlands.

"The lights will be switched off earlier in our offices when he no longer works here, and the theatre business will be put in a strong spotlight when he starts there," said Eurosonic-Noorderslag creative director Peter Smidt.

"He’s been a wonderful colleague for many years. I will miss his enthusiasm, his drive and the enormous amounts of work he did. I’m pleased he has this new challenge but will sadly miss his efforts for Buma Cultuur and Noorderslag."

Buma Cultuur has promoted from within and Boudewijn Hagemans will step up to fill van Adrichem’s role at the beginning of May.
