AEG announced it has stepped up its "green" efforts at Los Angeles’ Staples Center and Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.

As part of the company’s Earth Day celebrations April 22nd, AEG stressed its continuing commitment to use sustainable and biodegradable products at its venues, along with energy-efficient technology and water-saving features.

Staples Center has phased in biodegradable plates and cups at all sit-down dining areas over the past two months and both venues recently began using an environmentally friendly multipurpose cleaning product that replaces six other cleaners.

Staples Center has also replaced its 176 urinals with Falcon waterless urinals, which will save an estimated 7 million gallons of water annually.
