ACM Industry Awards

The concert industry award winners for the 43rd Academy of Country Music Awards were announced May 7th.

Live Nation’s Brian O’Connell, known for promoting Rascal Flatts among other tours, won promoter of the year. Neste Event Marketing’s Gil Cunningham was given the Don Romeo Talent Buyer of the year award.

Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Va., was named venue of the year, and nightclub of the year went to Billy Bob’s Texas in Ft. Worth.

Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., was honored as the casino of the year.

Musician, band and instrumental awards were also announced, as well as honors in the categories of radio and special awards.

Reba McEntire will host the 43rd Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas May 18th on CBS.
