Rockin’ The Touring Battlefield
Benatar jumpstarts the ultimate in tours May 16 with a performance at Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival in Richardson, Texas and winds down among the slot machines September 5 at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino in Coarsegold, Calif.
Other stops along the way include Rams Head Live! in Baltimore (June 24), Renaissance Center in Detroit (June 27), Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi in Mississippi (July 4), Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville (July 15) and House of Blues in Chicago (July 18). She’s also making an appearance at The Fillmore in San Francisco (July 27), Belly Up Aspen in Aspen, Colo. (August 9), Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Wash. (August 15), Red Robinson Theatre in Coquitlam, British Columbia (August 17) and Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, Pa., (August 27).

The new release by Capitol/EMI, which hits stores June 24, totals more than two hours of music and 20 Top 40 chart hits, including “Heartbreaker,” “Love is a Battlefield,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Fire and Ice,” “Invincible,” and “We Belong.”
A fun tidbit about the rocker – her cover of the Young Rascals’ “You Better Run” was the second music video broadcast on MTV in 1981, following The Buggles’ “Video Killed The Radio Star.”
The singer has four consecutive Grammy Awards for Best Female Rock Performance under her belt in addition to six consecutive Platinum and three Gold RIAA sales certifications for the nine albums she released between 1979 and 1989
