The September 20-21 event will once again take place on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay.

Electronic and dance oriented acts joining Justice on Saturday include TV on the Radio, Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, CSS, Antibalas, Aesop Rock, Amon Tobin, Foals, and Nortec: Bostich + Fussible.

Indie artists on the Sunday roster with The Raconteurs include Tegan and Sara, Vampire Weekend, Spiritualized, Okkervil River, Tokyo Police Club, The Kills, Dr. Dog, John Vanderslice, The Dodos and Fleet Foxes.

Additional artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

A limited number of $99 early bird two-day tickets will be available to Treasure Island Music Festival mailing list members beginning May 29.

General tickets, priced at $65 for single-day and $115 for two-day, go on sale May 30 at TreasureIslandFestival.com.

A limited quantity of VIP packages – which include four VIP tickets to one day of the festival, a VIP parking spot on the island, a preferred viewing area and a VIP lounge with full bar and other amenities – will be available for $445.

Festival organizers Noise Pop Festival and Another Planet Entertainment promise plenty of activities besides music, including a Ferris wheel and a vending village featuring local artists and designers, plus a wide array of food and beverages.

The festival will also be an eco-friendly event again, with complimentary transportation to the island on bio-diesel buses.

Organizers hope to out-do last year’s event, which, according to the San Francisco Department of the Environment, had the second highest waste diversion rate (72 percent) of all outdoor events in San Francisco in 2007.
