Morrissey Signs With ie:music

Morrissey has confirmed his split with manager Merck Mercuriadis, former chief exec of what was Sanctuary U.S., by appointing the team behind U.K. star Robbie Williams.

A two-page statement from British PR firm Velocity Communications doesn’t detail the split between Morrissey and Mercuriadis but says the deal with David Enthoven and Tim Clark of ie:music is on a global basis.

Josie Cliff, who runs ie:west, the company’s U.S. division, will also be closely involved in all aspects of the former The Smiths singer/songwriter’s career.

The company also handles the careers of Sia, Craig Armstrong, Passenger, Archive and the Asteroids Galaxy Tour.
