After recovering for just one month, Valient Himself and the band will first tackle some international dates before touring the U.S., including the UK’s Download Festival, club shows in the UK and Germany, and Belgium’s Graspop Festival.

The U.S. tour kicks off July 11 at Hawthorne Theatre in Portland, Ore., and concludes back on the West Coast August 15 at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, Calif.

Valient Thorr will bring its heavy sound and big beards to venues including El Corazon in Seattle (July 12), Playground in Park City, Utah (July 15), Larimer Lounge in Denver (July 16), Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis (July 18) and Reggie’s Live in Chicago (July 19), The Bluebird in Saint Louis (July 20), Magic Stick in Detroit (July 22), Black Cat in Washington D.C. (July 27), Black Booth in Orlando, Fla. (August 2) and One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans (August 5).

Heavy metal band Early Man is coming along for support for the duration of the cross-country trip, with additional opening acts Architects, Kandi Coded, Monotonix, Skeletonwitch and Toxic Holocaust performing on select dates.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com.

The band’s latest album, Immortalizer is set for release June 17 on Volcom Entertainment. The disc was recorded in Seattle with veteran producer Jack Endino, who, in addition to helping Valient Thorr shape their signature sound of punk, heavyweight grooves and a classic rock vibe, has worked with Nirvana, Soundgarden and Hot Hot Heat.

Merchandise to offset medical expenses for Valient Himself and his father is available at the band’s web site, ValientThorr.com.

The site promises that proceeds from a shirt will “go directly to the mounting medical costs of kidney donation from Valient Himself to his earthly father. Remember, you aren’t just buying a shirt, you are giving a gift and the shirt represents that.”
