Matthew Ryan Vs. The Silver State, his 11th album, has been described as the singer-songwriter’s best to date and reflects his own sense of “beauty and risk.”

Reviews have compared his work to that of some top-shelf writers including Steve Earle and Paul Westerberg.

“We’re trying to build a community with this record, with this music and band,” Ryan said. “For the first time in my career I feel utterly connected to the people I’m playing music with and it’s starting to look like we’re reaching for what we set out to achieve.”

The tour kicks off June 12 at the Continental Club in Houston, and winds through major and secondary markets including Austin, St. Louis and Minneapolis, with more dates on the way.
