Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some, but here at Pollstar.com HQ it’s the luckiest day of the year. Our corporate overlords have blessed our humble efforts to bring you the latest date-city-venue action for your favorite bands and artists by replacing the company toothbrush with a brand-spanking-new Colgate Extra Clean (hard bristles, of course), and refilling the prune juice dispensers in the cafeteria. Yes, Friday the 13th means good times from where we sit.

And we had a lot of data to process in the first few hours today. For example we found the update for The Blind Boys Of Alabama while walking under a ladder to pick up a penny someone had dropped. New dates include August 14 in Choctaw, MS, at The Pearl River Resort / Silver Star; September 4 in Baraboo, WI, at the Ho Chunk Casino; and October 1 in Knoxville, TN, at Tennessee Theatre.

The New Kids On The Block tour is doing fantastic business, and we’re seeing more dates being added to this ’90s juggernaut almost every day. Today’s new date came to us from a passing black cat that happened to pur its way across our path. The new one is November 26 in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

And The Hives update almost didn’t happen. That is until we broke a mirror and realized that the band’s latest list of dates were hidden behind the glass. The new listing includes September 13 in Buenos Aires at Estadio Pepsi Music.

During the past few hours we avoided stepping on sidewalk cracks (thus keeping our mothers in good health for one more day), while processing new data for Watermelon Slim, Suzanna Choffel, Skyrocket, The Tommy Castro Band, Overkill, Lyfe Jennings, Friends Of Dean Martinez, Katey Sagal, Cypress Hill and Elf Power.

Of course there’s more new concert data arriving on our loading docks every minute of every day. Don’t miss your mega-lucky Midday Update, coming up around 12 noon, from Pollstar.com!
