Breaking The Chains Of Chemical Dependency
Tantric and Hurt have signed on for the annual Layne Staley Tribute and Benefit concert, honoring the life and music of the late Alice In Chains frontman.
The all-ages concert, now in its seventh year, will be held August 23 at Showbox Sodo in Seattle.
Other acts on the bill include local bands Future Fossils and Riverbend, a performance by Staley’s mother Nancy McCallum and other special guests.
All proceeds benefit the Layne Stayley Fund, a nonprofit organization co-founded by McCallum and Jamie Richards of Emerald City Musician’s Network. The nonprofit works with fans and musicians to support local chemical dependency facilities, drug education and outreach programs. More information about the Fund can be found at LayneStayleyFund.com.
Tickets for the benefit show are available through Ticketmaster.com, and if still available, will be sold at the door day of show.
