The kings of thrash metal are playing fests like Rock Werchter in Belgium and Roskilde in Denmark through July, and have recently announced they’re going to roll with the European leg of the Unholy Alliance III tour featuring co-headliner Trivium and Mastodon in October.

The tour kicks off at the Manchester Evening News Arena in England October 27 and visits Germany, Switzerland, France and Austria before wrapping in Berlin November 19. The trip also features two nights at the Apollo Hammersmith in London October 30-31.

An opening band will be announced in the coming weeks.

Self-proclaimed Slayer fans Trivium hail from Florida but have built a superior fan base overseas. The band has played 600 shows in the last 36 months, co-headlining a tour with Machine Head and performing with Iron Maiden. A new release is due in September.

Mastodon’s third album, Blood Mountain, was nominated for a Grammy. The band is currently in the studio working on a followup.
