Band Brawl Ends In Death
Police say a Minnesota man who was the lead singer of a band playing a Bloomington party died early Saturday morning after he was stabbed during a fight.
Christopher A. Johnson, 32, of Minneapolis was stabbed in the chest after he got into a fight with Brian P. White, 32, of Warsaw. White faces a preliminary charge of murder.
Witnesses told police the fight started after White grabbed a woman’s buttocks and Johnson intervened. He had been performing with his band, Useless Wooden Toys. The men fought and were separated. Johnson then went into the home’s backyard, White followed, and the two started arguing again.
Witnesses said Johnson fell to the ground during that argument, and White walked back into the home and left. Officers found him hiding in a cellar.
