Ah Nuts! Roth Says Allergy Story Fake

Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has responded to a widely circulated story alleging that he was assisted during a medical emergency in Canada last month that was lent credence by interviews with police officials.

With typical aplomb, the singer issued this statement through a publicist today.

“I was in Canada only from July first through the fourth for a performance at the Quebec City Summer Festival.

“I had no encounters or incidents with the police. The only thing I’m allergic to is criticism. – Love, Dave.”
