Taste Of Surveillance
It wasn’t just the artists being watched during a recent concert in Chicago’s Grant Park.
While crowds at the annual Taste of Chicago festival sampled foods and listened to free concerts from artists including Stevie Wonder, Joss Stone and Bonnie Raitt, they were being watched by officials in elevated security platforms.
The SkyWatch towers, which have been used at events such as the Super Bowl and Mardi Gras, reportedly gave security 360-degree views of the festival using high-tech surveillance and infrared technologies to zero in on problems in the crowd.
