Church On Tour

Lakewood Church in Houston, home to Joel Osteen Ministries, is ready to amp up Osteen’s tour with the help of the industry.

Carl Hirsh, a veteran of Spectacor and now the managing partner of Stafford Sports, said Stafford will identify new and expand current markets for arena presentations by the pastor of Lakewood Church. Osteen has sold out arenas throughout the country.

"Our hope is to significantly expand the number of public assembly venues throughout the country where people of all backgrounds and economic levels can listen to the powerful message of Pastor Joel and his wife, Victoria," Hirsh said in a statement.

Earlier this year Osteen gave presentations at FedExForum in Memphis and BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla.

Lakewood Church’s 16,000-seat home is the former Compaq Center, which once housed the Houston Rockets. More than 38,000 people attend weekly services at the church.
