The Down By The Riverside Tour kicks off with a five-night stand September 16-21 at Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, Colo.

Other stops include B.B. King’s Bluse Club in New York City (September 23), Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. (September 28), the University of Illinois in Champaign (October 7), the University of Alabama in Birmingham (October 18), Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts in California (November 9), the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio (November 22), Symphony Hall in Boston (March 27) and the State Theatre in Ithaca, N.Y. (March 28).

In January, the Blind Boys released Down in New Orleans, their first album ever recorded in the Big Easy.

The disc features guest performances by Allen Toussaint, the Hot 8 Brass Band and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Last spring, PHJB released Made in New Orleans: The Hurricane Sessions, a collection of previously unreleased recordings, some of which were salvaged from Katrina-flooded Sea Saint Studios.
