Let There Be Booze

Officials with the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown, Md., have decided to allow concertgoers to bring drinks back to their seats during shows on a trial basis.

The Washington County liquor board agreed July 9 to allow patrons 21 and older, for a six-month trial period, to drink alcohol in their seats.

Performers, however, will be allowed to imbibe on a case-by-case basis and are not allowed to BYOB.

The decision stems from complaints following a Gaelic Storm concert in April at which fans reportedly brought drinks back to their seats and the band partied on stage.
