The 23-date tour featuring family-friendly sets by They Might Be Giants, Imagination Movers and more kicks off with a three-day run July 25-27 at Toms River High School in New Jersey and will hit various venues through the end of August.

Other stops include Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md. (July 29-30), Fairmount Park in Philadelphia (August 1-3), Rentschler Field in Hartford, Conn. (August 5-6), Toyota Park near Chicago (August 8-10), Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio (August 12-13), Downsview Park in Toronto (August 15-17), the Meadow Brook Music Festival near Detroit (August 19-20) and the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum Parking Lot in Uniondale, N.Y. (August 22-24).

Other artists on the rotating lineup include Dan Zanes and Choo Choo Soul, plus host Raven-Symone.

Besides musical entertainment, the event will feature a number of activities, including the Playskool Play Experience, NAMM’s Wanna Play? musical instruments area, a “Playhouse Disney” tent and interactive music-based dance activities with contests and giveaways.

Covert will release his second children’s book, “Ralph’s World Rocks!,” on August 5.

The book features lyrics from 12 Ralph’s World songs brought to life by the whimsical artwork of longtime artist collaborator and fellow author Charise Mericle Harper.

A three-track CD and a section with guitar chords are also included so kids can sing and play along to classics like “Monster,” “Happy Lemons” and “Peggy’s Pie Parlor Polka.”
