The two-day event will take place August 30-31 at The Great Meadow at Fort Mason in San Francisco and is the largest celebration of American food to date.

Other artists on the roster include Sunday headliner Phil Lesh & Friends, G. Love & Special Sauce, Medeski Martin & Wood, John Butler Trio and more.

Single-day and two-day general admission and reserved tickets are available at SlowFoodRocks.com. Children’s tickets (5 to 12 years) are also available.

Slow Food Nation’s mission is to highlight the connection between “the plate and the planet.” All food and beverage venders for the festival will be sourced through the organization, with the goal of presenting the best in quality, clean, fair-market prepared foods, meats, produce, micro-brews and wine.

To highlight issues concerning urban and global water use, Slow Food Nation is partnering with Food & Water Watch and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission to develop accessible and visible water stations. All water will be free of charge and festival goers are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.
