Pancake Stack Sacked

The Saratoga Performing Arts Center in New York has scrapped a redesign proposal that critics likened to a giant stack of pancakes and flying saucer.

Architectural firm Saratoga Associates is working on alternate designs and is expected to share the new plans soon.

The Saratogian noted that as part of the $2.5 million in improvements to the SPAC, the venue could undergo improvements on restrooms and lighting this fall regardless of whether a design choice is finalized.
