Summer Jam Suspect Arrested

A 33-year-old man was arrested August 2 on suspicion of assault, aggravated assault, public intoxication and disorderly conduct following a fight at the Summer Jam hip-hop concert at Usana Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City.

The man allegedly choked his girlfriend until she lost consciousness and broke her nose after punching her several times, according to a probable cause statement as reported in the Salt Lake Tribune.

He also allegedly hit his girlfriend’s daughter when she attempted to break up the fight. Police detained the man at the airport while he was on his way back to New York City, according to the paper. The Game and David Banner headlined the concert. A call to the venue was not returned at press time.
